Shara Romer, Head Female Coach and Junior/youth coach at The Boxing Shop in Brisbane, has been selected by Boxing Queensland, as one of two coaches to lead the state team in an International battle.
Romer first earned representative honours, outside of The Boxing Shop,Earlier this year when she was selected as a State coach at the National championships in Perth where she sat her AIBA 1 star exam with renowned boxing coach from England Terry Edwards.Edwads was the Head coach of Team GB when a 17 yr old boy from Bolton won the Olympic silver medal at the Athens games, his name was Amir Khan.
The first International opportunity for Romer is another reward for her consistant hard work and for all the long hours she puts in at the gym and also preparing and planning in her training so that all the athletes are peaking at the right time.
Shara Romer has a busy schedule in the next few months with many trips coming up, as well as Papua New Guinea there is a Junior and Youth Camp in Melbourne and an International training camp in Thailand that the Team will be taking place in.
