AUSTRALIAN Olympic sensation Damien “Super” Hooper took his perfect professional record to four wins when he knocked out Togasilimai Letoa in Southport, Queensland on Thursday night (August 8).
Hooper, who represented his country at London 2012, dropped the Samoan southpaw in the fourth before putting him down for the full ten count a round later.
The 21-year-old only had his first paid fight in April so is making swift progress in the professional ranks.
Letoa marked a significant step up in class for Hooper as, until recently, he was ranked in the top 12 light-heavyweights in the world by the WBA.
“Last night was a great success for Damien. He touched and set up his shots like an experienced professional,” said trainer and manager Gareth Williams.
“Two things that we’ve been working on in the gym have been setting up the power shots with changes of pace and also working on body attacks and Damien did both things perfectly.
“He now moves to 4-0 and it would be great to finish the year at 7-0.”
